There are only 100 of these overstocked bodies avialable so stocking up now esspecially for luthiers that know they will use them is prime time!! This ash is lightweight ash, also refered to as swamp ash not to be mistaken for standard hard ash which is used commonly in baseball bats. We stumbled across some old East Indian RoseWood Gun stocks that we had saved over a decade ago. These gun stocks have been air dried for over 10+ years and have been protected by a heavy wax covering which has become dry and hard itself. We sanded the wax off of these billets to reveal their attractive figure. These billets are now up with large detailed photos and ready for viewing with large back and front face photos as well as dimensions. Due to the high demand for White Limba a.k.a. korina one piece bodies, we have decided to re-evaluate our stocks and try to offer some second grade material which may fit into some projects. The material is second quality meaning it could not be sold as clear grade like our stock item #08708800. These bodies are not free of defects, "but" they may work just fine for certain projects and scenarios. Some examples would be the templates clear any blemishes, body will be laminated that would cover any blemishes and have a clear 1 face or have 2 face laminated, hardware will cover any blemishes, or chambering may cut out any blemishes. These bodies are of course at reduced cost and most importantly one piece. They can't be used for every meticulous project, but will work fine for certain projects, these bodies can be found under special sales with photos included.
